The BVC-90VE Chinelatto boring machine machines motorcycle cylinders with diameters from 1.85 inches (47mm) up to 3.54 inches (90mm), covering most domestic and imported motorcycles. It has maximum machining depth of 11.8 inches (300mm), tool rotation of 420rpm and feed of 0.003 inches (0.08mm) per revolution. The 0.5hp electric motor provides adequate power for precise cuts. The machine accepts motorcycle cylinders with diameters between 1.85 inches (47mm) and 3.54 inches (90mm), serving from small 125cc motorcycles up to larger 600-800cc models. The included centering pin sets allow working with five ranges: 2.09-2.44 inches (53-62mm), 2.40-2.76 inches (61-70mm), 2.72-3.07 inches (69-78mm), 3.03-3.39 inches (77-86mm) and 3.35-3.70 inches (85-94mm). This covers cylinders from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and other popular brands. The 11.8 inches (300mm) depth allows machining from short cylinders to the longest ones found in sport and touring motorcycles.

The boring machine removes more material and corrects major defects like out-of-roundness and deep scratches, being the first step in cylinder recovery. The honing machine provides fine finishing, creating the crosshatch pattern necessary for lubrication and ring seating. The BVC-90VE boring machine works with 0.003 inches (0.08mm) per revolution precision, preparing the cylinder for subsequent honing. In practice, many shops use the boring machine first for sizing and then the honing machine for finishing.

The process starts by fixing the cylinder on the table with appropriate centering pins for the diameter. The cutting tool rotates at 420rpm while advancing 0.003 inches (0.08mm) per revolution, removing material from the inner wall uniformly. The operator adjusts the desired depth and the machine has automatic disengagement when reaching the limit. During cutting, lubrication is applied with the included manual pump. The result is a cylinder with precise diameter and surface prepared for honing or direct piston installation.

Basic maintenance includes cleaning after use, lubrication of sliding points and tool alignment verification with the included micrometer. Cutting tools need regular sharpening - the optional sharpener with diamond stone can be acquired. Check belt tension, change lubrication pump oil and keep centering pins clean and burr-free. With proper use and preventive maintenance, the machine offers years of reliable operation in medium-volume shops.
