Planer Milling Machine 6.2-METER Table — PFL-6200

The planer milling machine is used for precision machining on large parts up to 20.3 ft (6.2 meters) in length. It's primarily used for planing flat surfaces, milling guides, machining engine blocks and large cylinder heads. The PFL-6200 combines planer operation (linear movement) with milling (rotary), allowing work on heavy parts up to 6,614 lb (3 tons) with industrial precision.

The PFL-6200 has a 244 x 28.7 inches (6,200 x 730 mm) table, supporting up to 6,614 lb (3,000 kg) distributed. Free passage between columns 55 inches (1,400 mm) width x 39 inches (1,000 mm) height. Main motor 15 hp with 4 speed ranges (16 to 1890 rpm), WEG inverter for continuous variation. Total installed power 45.5 hp. Milling head tilts 70° left and 50° right. Machine weight approximately 22,046 lb (10 tons).

The vertical milling head has standard ISO 50 taper, accepting conventional mills and tools of that taper. Special elongated sleeve 3.9 inches (100 mm) for larger tools. The single-cutting planer head uses common planer tool, with 45° inclination each side and automatic lifting on return. Includes automatic internal lubrication pump for cutting tools during operation.

The table planer milling machine works much larger parts (up to 20.3 ft/6.2m) and heavier (6,614 lb/3 tons), while traditional head planer is limited to smaller heads. The milling machine has dual function: linear planing and rotary milling in same equipment. Variable hydraulic speeds (16-66 FPM/5-20 m/min fast, up to 6.5 FPM/2 m/min slow) versus fixed speed in traditional. More robust system for heavy industrial machining.

The PFL-6200 hydraulic system has two motors: 5 hp for slow feed (precision milling) and 20 hp for rapid feed (planing). Automatic speeds: slow minimum 3.9 IPM (100 mm/min) up to 78.7 IPM (2,000 mm/min) return, rapid 16-33 FPM (5-10 m/min) with 33-66 FPM (10-20 m/min) return. Vertical feed 5.9 IPM (150 mm/min) and cross feed with 5 automatic speeds. Includes automatic lubrication of prismatic ways via dedicated pump.

Main care: check daily hydraulic oil level and automatic lubrication pump of ways. Clean daily chips from table and guards. Cooling system with own tower needs weekly cleaning. Manual oilers of crossbeam and columns must be filled regularly. Check belt tension and bolt tightness after first 100 hours. Preventive maintenance of WEG inverter according to specific manual.
