The BPM-200 pneumatic honing machine works with motorcycle cylinders from Ø1.6 to 4.3 inches (Ø41-108mm), covering from small bikes to larger displacement engines. It has 7.9 inches (200mm) useful stroke and runs on only 0.5hp electrical power at 220V three-phase. Compressed air consumption is low, just 11.5 cubic feet per minute. Comes complete with 2 honing tools: one for 1.6-2.6 inch (41-67mm) diameters and another for 2.7-4.3 inch (68-108mm), including stones and felts for each range.

The BPM-200 honing machine accepts cylinders from practically all motorcycle types, from 125cc to high-displacement models. The 1.6-4.3 inch (Ø41-108mm) range covers trail, street, naked, sport and custom bikes. Works for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, as long as the cylinder is within dimensional capacity. The 7.9 inch (200mm) stroke is suitable for most domestic and imported engines. It's ideal for shops servicing various motorcycle types.

The main difference lies in the drive system and precision. Honing is done with the honing tool fixed in the machine, which has abrasive stones and felts. The tool rotates and makes alternating movement (up and down) inside the cylinder, removing micro scratches and creating the crosshatch pattern of grooves. Stones make the initial cut and felts provide final finishing. The BPM-200 automatically controls these movements through the pneumatic system, ensuring uniformity. The process removes 0.0008-0.002 inches (0.02-0.05mm) from diameter, leaving the surface ideal for rings.

Basic maintenance includes daily cleaning of stones and felts, pneumatic system verification and lubrication of grease points per manual. Abrasive stones have variable service life depending on use - typically 50 to 100 cylinders per set. It's important to keep compressed air clean and dry, using water separator filter.
