The valve seat milling machine is used to machine and renew valve seats in motorcycle cylinder heads. The SUPREMA-M milling machine has pneumatic motor only in the M-A series, which is the most complete version. The M-B and M-C series don't include pneumatic motor in the set. The M-A series comes with pneumatic motor, tool holding spindle, tools, pilot shafts, tool sharpener, vacuum gauge for seat testing and cabinet. The pneumatic motor offers precise rotation control and constant torque for quality machining of valve seats.

The SUPREMA-M milling machine is designed specifically for motorcycle cylinder heads of various sizes and configurations. The machine works with different valve seat diameters through the pilot shafts included in the set. The system allows machining of both intake and exhaust valves in 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. The dial indicator ensures dimensional precision regardless of the cylinder head model, as long as it's from a motorcycle.

The manual milling machine requires operator force to turn the tool, while the pneumatic motor version (M-A series of SUPREMA-M) offers controlled automatic rotation. The pneumatic motor provides constant speed and more uniform finish, reducing operator fatigue. The manual version is more economical but requires more skill and physical effort. With pneumatic motor, air pressure control allows speed adjustment according to material and seat type.

The process starts by securing the cylinder head and inserting the pilot shaft into the valve guide for centering. The cutting tool is mounted on the tool holding spindle and adjusted with the dial indicator. During machining, material is removed from the seat at specific angle (usually 45°) until obtaining smooth surface and correct dimension. After milling, the vacuum gauge is used to test sealing between valve and seat, ensuring perfect repair.

Maintenance includes regular cleaning of cutting tools and pilot shafts, checking dial indicator calibration and testing the vacuum gauge. Tools should be sharpened periodically using the sharpener included in the set. On models with pneumatic motor, check air connections and lubrication according to manual. Keep the cabinet clean and organized. The SUPREMA-M has robust tooling that, with proper care, offers long service life in the shop.
